Chinese Baby Formula Banned in US

The US Food and Drug Administration warned American consumers to be on the lookout for baby formula from China sold illegallly in this country. Although all of the major brands sold in this country deny using and ingredients from China, investigators have found some of the illegal Chinese formula sold under the brand name Sanlu on US shelves in the past, usually sold in ethnic Asian markets. Chinese formula has been blamed for the death of at least one baby in China and illness in others. It is suspected that the formula was tainted with the same ingredient which was recently reported to be poisoning dogs and cats eating food made in China. This was done when milk powder was replaced with cheap, tainted soybean protein. Read more here:
