How do you feel about the recent recalls of toys found to have lead in their paint? Will assurances made by the manufacturers that issues have been addressed be effective in keeping you as a consumer? What should be done to protect ensure future safety?

The government has to take more action and become more vigiilant. They should stop accomodating the Chinese!

Did you see the new recall on Nov. 9 about 175,000 Curious George Plush Dolls ??? THey're made in guess where.......Yes, China and they have a high level of lead. You would think by now, the government would get involved since this is a high health risk. Instead, nothing is being done and more and more products are being made abroad. Crazy, isn't it???

Yes, it is quite alarming that these stories continue to make the headlines! Now we hear about the toy "aquadots" which apparently contains the "date rape" drug and are toxic when ingested. Two children were made comatose. According to the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) there are 4.2 MILLION units of them out there! This was followed a day later by a ecall of Curios George plush dolls with lead paint. Both toys manufactured in CHINA. Wake up America, Protect our kids! Am I being an alarmist here? I think realist is the correct term!

I've very disturbed with this explosion of dangerous toys. Thanks USAB2C for providing us with a venue to buy AMERICAN.

Avoid Toys made in China. I do not trust Chinese manufacturers as they do not have the same rigid safet standards that we have in place here.

Obviously I am concerned and I thank you from providing an alternative under the Toys section.

Keeping paying attention to the Consumer Protection reports !
